Grief and depression affect us all at some point in our lives. The Prophet ﷺ also went through periods of melancholy. Coping with grief, depression, anxiety, sickness and/or stress is hard work! Books can be a part of the solution. Books give us comfort in distress; they provide us with gems of guidance. They allow us to see other people going through the same trials. Make sure to also check in with your doctor, psychologist and a trusted sheikh too. Also, do not forget the power of du'a!
