This book helps give clarity to a foundational pillar in the life of a Muslim. It does this by elucidating the Divine and legislative roots of zakah, as well as shedding light on the socio-economic wisdoms rooted in the Divine laws of obligatory religious philanthropy.
Muhammad Carr discusses contemporary modes of modern day wealth and vehicles of investments, such as pension funds, investment funds and debt — deferred and immediate; as well as issues pertinent to contemporary businesses — such as merchandise and its profit in addition to everyday scenarios involving salaries, endowments and inherited assets.
An overview of how gold and silver is regarded is explained as well as the eight classifications of those eligible as zakah recipients arc expounded upon.
