When a woodcutter's baby daughter is taken away by a hard-hearted woman in payment for a few Rapunzel leaves, he and his wife are left heartbroken. Although the woman is not cruel to the little girl, she does not want her parents to ever find her and names her Rapunzel after the Rapunzel greens for which she was taken.

In time, Rapunzel grows into a young lady with an inquisitive mind and a kind and generous heart but will she ever be reunited with her parents? This empowering Islamic adaptation underscores hope, resilience, and love for God. Featuring authentic Uyghur art. Other Islamic fairy tales in this series include Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Snow White.

My little princesses love these islamic fairy tales and keep making me read them. This one especially made me a little emotional towards the end. Highly recommend these books to any little girls. It's quite long but my almost 4 year old patiently sits through the whole stories. Mashallah. I got these books because she's always drawn to princesses and fairy tales, I prefer these as they are much better than the originals, and quite engaging mashallah.
